Mission and Purpose:“The spread of Christ’s Kingdom among Men and Boys”. WHO WE ARE:The Brotherhood of St. Andrew is an evangelism ministry of The Episcopal Church and the Worldwide Anglican Communion. We are the oldest evangelistic ministry of the Episcopal Church, in continuous service for over 125 years. WHAT WE BELIEVE:The saving grace of Jesus Christ through the Cross,The authority of Holy Scripture,The power of the Holy Spirit, andThe fellowship shared by Christian men and boys OUR PURPOSE:Personal spiritual growth, mutual ministry, and Christian service. The Brotherhood meets the second Saturday of each month at 8:30 a.m., breakfast is served.During the summer we will be planning our fall “event” and will be meeting on the last Tuesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. Come join us in our first service project/fundraiser. THE BROTHERHOOD CHAPTER IN YOUR PARISH:Will lead men into a deeper personal relationship with our Lord and Savior, Jesus ChristIs centered in our disciplines of prayer, study and serviceSupports activities in Alpha, Cursillo, and TheDaughters of the KingMeets regularly with the rector’s approval THE BROTHERHOOD ENCOURAGES:Spiritual growthBecoming more Christ-likePracticing regular, reflective Bible studyEstablishing closer relationship with othersDeveloping a vision for ministry in your parish and in the wider world Mutual MinistryBuilding community among men in the parishSharing one’s faith with othersEvaluating one’s lite by biblical standardsOpen discussions in small group settingsSharing resources for various ministriesChristian serviceA ministry to men, by menA ministry to young men and boysOver 125 years of Christian leadership trainingAn international network of clergy and laymenA vision to evangelize the churched and unchurched. |
