V "Women in Conversation" is a weekly, Christian-based book and discussion group that meets on Thursdays, from 9:30-11:00 a.m. If you are interested in learning more about this group or joining us, contact Lynn Miller or Debbi Rodahaffer, or attend the next meeting on September 9th.

V Monday Morning Bible Study with the Rector resumes on Monday, September 13. We meet weekly in the library, 10:00-11:15 a.m. All welcome!

V The St. Matthew's Book Group will meet in the Lounge on Monday, September 13, 1:30 p.m. in the Lounge. We will be discussing Dancing at the Rascal Fair by Ivan Doig. Books for the October discussion will be handed out at the September meeting. We are now using book discussion kits from the Louisville Public Library.

Volunteer Opportunities:

V EVERY 1 READS is a Covenant Committee project. Tutors are needed for the upcoming school year for 30 minutes a week. Recruit a friend! There's a student nearby who needs your help. Please sign up now by calling Deedee Hatfield at 485-8185 and please sign the sheet on the bulletin board for our information.

V Books, Videos, and hand knitted Scarves for the Mariners. Your donations can be placed in the box located in the Narthex coat room. If you are donating scarves, you'll find the knitting instructions on the bulletin board. Thank you!

V St. Matthew's will babysit for Cornerstone children on Thursday, September 16. To volunteer to help, please contact Diane Clark (245-5633) or sign up on the bulletin board. We will be cooking at St. Matthew's for the young mothers and their children on Monday, September 13, 9:30 a.m. Sign up on the bulletin board to donate a food item, or to help cook. Thank you for making this ministry possible.
