Lent at St. Matthew’s

ASH WEDNESDAY is February 22. We will have services at 7:00 a.m., 12:00 noon, and 7:30 p.m, all with imposition of ashes. ARE YOU A NEW MEMBER WHO WOULD LIKE TO MAKE A COMMITMENT TO ST. MATTHEW’S? Please speak to one of the clergy about doing this at the evening service.

SMALL GROUPS
“A Journey into Compassion”. How do we listen to one another? What is it we hear? Join Rhody Streeter for a study series for small group learning, each Wednesday evening during Lent - February 29, March 7, 14, 21, 28 and April 4, 6:30-7:30 p.m. The “preview groups” will use a trial curriculum developed by the Diocese of Kentucky. The group(s) will preview a way of living into Compassion. The sessions are limited to no more than 12 per group. Participants will be encouraged to help facilitate next year during Lent, when we hope to invite our entire parish into small groups on “Compassion”. Interested? “Bridges to Contemplation”, a Merton Institute program that lasts for eight weeks, will be facilitated by Helen Jones and Jana Hocker. Dates and times to be determined. Watch for more upcoming information in your newsletter, bulletin and on the bulletin board. Participants are limited to 10.

QUIET DAYS
Saturday, February 25 and Saturday, March 24 will be Quiet Days at St. Matthew’s. Watch for more information, but put them on your calendar now!
